SkinnyRx Review: Price, Pros & Cons

SkinnyRx leads with a $99 first month on both compounded injections. From month two the price goes up: $249 a month for semaglutide and $299 for tirzepatide, billed as a monthly subscription. Prepaid plans bring semaglutide down.

Semaglutide also has four- and six-month plans at $225 and $215 a month. Budget on the month-two price, not the $99. Its banner says the $99 offer runs "while supplies last," with no end date given.

Both molecules come in two forms: a weekly injection, or a daily tablet with its own first-month price ($149 for semaglutide tablets, $199 for tirzepatide tablets). Microdosing is offered on three of the four. The catalog lists the Wegovy pill and the Foundayo pill through a separate SkinnyRx membership, but both are marked unavailable. Sermorelin is sold at $199 a month.

FSA and HSA cards are accepted, and so is Affirm financing. Shipping is free and overnight. The app adds medication reminders, meal ideas and weight logging, and an optional metabolic add-on pairs it with a glucose monitor.

You take a five-minute online assessment and pay. A licensed clinician reviews it, and depending on your state you may get a short video visit or a prescription within 24 hours. Tracking arrives within two business days of the prescription being written. Its medical director is Dr. Sajad Zalzala. It says the pharmacies it uses run third-party potency and sterility tests on every compounded lot, but it doesn't name them.

Refills aren't automatic in the clinical sense. Near the end of each month you fill out a refill form, a provider decides whether you continue, and then it ships.

You get a full refund if you cancel before a provider finishes reviewing your prescription, or if you're found ineligible. Once the prescription is written and fulfillment starts, that order is non-refundable. You can cancel future months anytime, but do it before the next shipment is prepared.

Read the promo clause before prepaying. If you cancel a discounted or committed plan early, SkinnyRx may take back the discount, so your refund can come in under the unused portion. Bundled subscriptions are non-refundable.
