NovoCare Pharmacy Review: Price, Pros & Cons

NovoCare is Novo Nordisk's own savings and home-delivery program for its brand-name drugs. It isn't a telehealth clinic. It sells Wegovy, the Wegovy pill and Ozempic straight from the maker, at self-pay prices or with a copay card if you have commercial insurance. Every dose needs a prescription, and nothing here is compounded.

The shipping arm is NovoCare Pharmacy, and its dispensing pharmacy is CoAssist Pharmacy. If you'd rather pick up locally, you can sign up for the savings offer and use it at your own pharmacy instead.

NovoCare publishes its self-pay prices on its savings page and in a downloadable pricing table, and they're set by drug and dose:

• Wegovy pill: a monthly price per 30-tablet bottle that rises in steps with the dose.
• Wegovy pen: new patients pay a lower introductory price for their first two monthly fills of the two starting doses. That offer runs through December 31, 2026. After it, one flat monthly price covers every standard dose, and the higher-strength Wegovy HD pen costs more.
• Ozempic: the same pattern, with a two-fill introductory price on the starting doses and a higher price at the 2 mg dose.

With commercial insurance, the savings offer can bring your copay down sharply, up to a monthly savings cap. A "month" means one box of four Wegovy pens, one Ozempic pen, or one 30-tablet bottle. Novo Nordisk says it can change or cancel the program at any time, so confirm the price for your dose before each refill.

You need a prescription from a licensed prescriber. If you don't have one, NovoCare can connect you with a prescriber through its site. Your prescriber then sends the prescription to NovoCare Pharmacy, and you get a confirmation text before the drug ships to your door.

To claim the savings offer, you fill out a short form or text SAVE to 83757, and the offer comes to your phone. The form asks who the offer is for, and Wegovy has offers for adolescents aged 12 to 17 as well as adults.

NovoCare makes sense if you want brand-name Wegovy or Ozempic at the maker's own cash price, or if your commercial plan covers it and you want the copay card. It doesn't offer tirzepatide, Zepbound or any compounded drug, and there's no coaching or ongoing care built in. That stays with your prescriber.
