ShedRx (Shed) Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Shed sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections on three plan lengths. Month to month is the most expensive way to buy. The "as low as" prices in Shed's ads are the twelve-month rates.

The needle-free options cost more than the injection at the entry level. Liquid drops start at $229 a month and lozenges at $199 a month, both month to month. Coaching by text and Shed's Pivot tracking app, for logging doses, side effects and weight, are included.

Shed offers a GLP-1 as a weekly injection, liquid drops, a lozenge that dissolves in your mouth, or a daily pill. The lozenge is taken once a day.

Brand-name drugs are priced separately. Wegovy starts at $349 a month. Zepbound vials run $349 to $499 a month for the drug, which you pay to the dispensing pharmacy, plus a Shed membership for the visits and support. Shed's Zepbound listing gives that membership as $125 a month in one place and $99 in its fine print, so confirm the figure before you choose the brand route.

Shed promises a refund if you don't lose at least 5% of your starting weight, or reach the goal weight set at enrollment, within 120 days of your first shipment. The refund covers what you paid Shed in that window. To qualify you must:

• Be new to that class of drug, whether compounded or brand-name.
• Attend all four monthly coaching appointments.
• Log your weight at least twice a month.
• Complete at least 60 of the 120 daily check-ins in the Pivot app.
• Submit every provider follow-up form on time.

Shipped medication still can't be returned.

Month-to-month plans renew automatically, carry a two-month minimum, and must be canceled at least 72 hours before your billing date. Fees aren't refunded once charged.

On a six- or twelve-month plan, medication ships in batches of four or eight weeks, depending on your state. You can cancel after the minimum term, but you only get money back for batches that haven't shipped. Shed reprices the months you used at the month-to-month rate. Its own example: a six-month semaglutide plan at $179 canceled after four shipped months is repriced at four times $199, so $278 of the $1,074 comes back.

Shed doesn't name the compounding pharmacy that fills its prescriptions, and it isn't a pharmacy itself. Ask who will make yours. Compounded versions aren't FDA-approved the way Wegovy and Zepbound are.
