NextMeds Review: Price, Pros & Cons

NextMeds sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide as a self-pay monthly subscription. Its pitch is the same price every month at every dose, with the prescription, telehealth visits and shipping folded into one bundled charge. There's no separate membership fee and no insurance billing, though NextMeds says plans are FSA eligible.

As of November 2, the homepage advertises programs starting at $49 a month, but the earlier drug-specific enrollment banner is no longer shown on the terms or refund pages. The public intake asks for height and weight before presenting a medication-specific quote. The previous $49 semaglutide and $119 tirzepatide offer should not be treated as a current quote. The homepage also shows Wegovy, Ozempic and Zepbound, but without prices, and NextMeds describes its program as compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections. If you want a brand-name drug, ask before you pay.

NextMeds provides marketing, customer support and administrative services; it does not practice medicine. Its terms identify OpenLoop Health, Inc. as the telehealth platform operator. Clinical services come from OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC and its affiliated medical practices. A provider reviews your intake and does a telehealth consultation, either live video or an asynchronous review depending on your state's rules.

NextMeds names its pharmacies. Its FAQ names RedRock Pharmacy, Health Warehouse, Precision Medicine and Triad Rx. Health Warehouse is a retail pharmacy; ask which partner dispenses your particular product. NextMeds says processing and delivery usually take four to five business days, and it serves all 50 states. You must be 18 or older.

NextMeds's refund policy is strict. All payments are final once submitted, including single-month and multi-month plans, and whether or not you've used anything. Not finishing your intake doesn't earn a refund either.

The one exception is a medical disqualification. If a provider decides you aren't eligible, the policy promises a refund of the amount paid for the current term, less a $35 service fee charged by the medical provider group. It says refunds can take four to five business days.

Multi-month and bundled plans are sold as one purchase. If you stop early, there's no money back for unused months or for medication that never shipped. Medication can't be returned. Damaged or incorrect items are replaced, not refunded.

You can cancel by email, by phone or in the patient portal. The refund and cancellation policy requires at least 72 hours' notice before your next billing date to stop the next charge. Canceling stops future charges only, and you keep access through the end of the term you've paid for.
