Ondra Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Ondra sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide on four plan lengths: monthly, quarterly, six months and twelve months. Each plan has one price at every dose, so the bill doesn't rise as your dose goes up. The longer the plan, the lower the monthly rate. The six- and twelve-month plans are billed in full up front.

What's in the price: the provider consultation, the medication, injection supplies and free shipping. There's no membership fee and no separate introductory rate. Ondra doesn't take insurance, but it accepts HSA and FSA cards and offers Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay at checkout.

When you order, your card gets an authorization hold, not a charge. Ondra finalizes the charge only after a provider approves you, and releases the hold if you're turned down.

Ondra lets you choose which pharmacy fills your prescription from the ones that ship to your state. It names six: Hallandale Pharmacy, Vials RX, Boudreaux's New Drug Store, Southend Pharmacy, Drug Crafters Pharmacy and Hyalo Pharmacy, which fills tirzepatide only. They're a mix of 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies.

The choice matters for two reasons:

• Plan length. The six- and twelve-month plans are only available through Hallandale and Vials RX. Monthly and quarterly plans work with all of them.
• What's in the vial. Some pharmacies add B12, glycine or B6, and some make additive-free versions.

Several pharmacies don't ship to certain states, and Ondra lists those exclusions in its FAQ.

Ondra doesn't prescribe. Licensed providers at two independent medical groups do: Wasef Health, PC, whose medical director is Dr. David Wasef, MD, and Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC. The intake takes a few minutes, and a provider usually responds within 24 hours. Some states need a phone or video visit, and the intake tells you if yours does. Medication typically ships within two to five business days of approval. Ondra is LegitScript-certified and is based in Los Angeles.

You can cancel an order before the prescription goes to the pharmacy. If a provider has already reviewed your intake and written a prescription, a $25 consultation fee isn't refunded. Once the prescription reaches the pharmacy, the order is final.

On a prepaid six- or twelve-month plan, an early cancellation is refunded as what you paid minus the regular quarterly price for each three-month supply already sent to the pharmacy. Each supply counts in full, even if you haven't used it. Report a damaged, wrong or missing package within 24 hours of delivery. Cancel through the patient portal or by email.
