What Precision Telemed charges
Compounded semaglutide is just under $150 a month on Precision Telemed's full program, and that one price covers every dose from 0.25 mg up to 2.5 mg. The consult, the medication and cold-chain shipping are all inside it. There's no membership fee and no insurance billing, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Two other semaglutide options sit beside it. A three-month autoship supply is $424.99 in one payment, which works out to about $142 a month. A maintenance plan at $139.99 a month gets you the lowest 0.25 mg dose only, for people holding a weight they've already reached.
Tirzepatide is priced differently. It starts at $199 for the first month, and the month-to-month rate after that is higher. Precision Telemed says that later rate also holds at every dose, from 2 mg to 15 mg. Ask for the second-month figure before you pay, and compare it with the three-month supply.
Considering Precision Telemed?
Check the plan total, billing period and cancellation terms before you enroll. A clinician decides whether treatment is appropriate.
A video visit, not just a form
You start with a health questionnaire that takes under five minutes. Then you meet a provider over Zoom, often the same day. The company says it kept the video visit on purpose so you can ask questions and talk through your history before anything is prescribed.
The prescribing is done by Doctors Now PC, a group of independent clinicians that works on Precision Telemed's platform. The site names its medical director, Dr. Joseph Palumbo, DO, and lists ten other doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with their NPI numbers. If you want a conversation before choosing anything, there's a standalone $50 Zoom consult with no medication included.
Your medication is compounded by Rush Pharmacy, a 503A pharmacy that mixes each prescription for a named patient. It ships cold-chain in plain packaging, and the company says it goes out within 48 hours. Every patient also gets a free custom workout plan.
Fees that can catch you out
Plans are month-to-month, with no contract and no cancellation fee. The refund policy has a few lines worth knowing first:
- If you're not approved after your consult, you get your money back minus a $50 consultation charge.
- If you cancel after the consult but before the medication ships, the refund is also less $50.
- Rescheduling or canceling a video visit within 24 hours costs $50. No-shows are charged the same.
- Once the pharmacy dispenses or ships your order, there's no refund. The exception is a lost package, and you have to report it within 48 hours of the carrier's delivery date.
Approved refunds go back to your original card within 10 business days.
