Effecty Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Effecty sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide at three price levels: month to month, a three-month supply and a twelve-month supply. Each longer supply lowers the monthly rate, and tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide at every level. A banner across the site also offers a promo code worth up to $300 off GLP-1 orders.

Effecty says the price you see is the price you pay, with no hidden fees, and every order ships free by expedited delivery. It doesn't take insurance. You can submit your receipts to your insurer yourself, but Effecty won't provide superbills or talk to insurers for you.

Before you choose a longer supply, ask how it's billed and what happens if you stop early. The terms describe a monthly subscription charged about every 28 to 30 days, and the longer supplies aren't explained beyond their price.

Effecty also prescribes brand-name medication, at cash prices that run far above the compounded options:

Those are cash prices with no insurance help, so they mainly suit someone who wants a brand-name drug and can't get it covered elsewhere. The same account also sells NAD+, sermorelin, glutathione and estradiol for menopause.

You buy the medication and fill out the intake before a provider sees you. Effecty says your card gets a hold rather than a charge until a prescription is written, and you aren't charged if one isn't. A board-certified, U.S.-licensed provider in your state contacts you within 24 hours, by chat, not video. You can ask for a different provider if the one assigned doesn't suit you.

Orders are processed in one to two business days. After the prescription is written, Effecty says shipping can take up to five to seven business days, and its shipping policy gives four to twelve business days as the average, including pharmacy prep. Nothing ships on weekends or holidays. Effecty says it ships GLP-1s to every state. It doesn't name the pharmacies it uses, only that they're state-licensed and may include compounding pharmacies.

Effecty's terms carry the heading "No Refund Policy," and subscription fees already paid aren't refunded. You can cancel anytime before a prescription is sent to the pharmacy, by email or from your account. After that point, canceling only stops future shipments.

There are two softer options. You can delay your billing date, or go "on demand," which turns off automatic charges until you order your next refill. You keep messaging access to your provider during a delay.
