Somira Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Somira charges $139.99 for one month of compounded semaglutide or $299.99 every three months. Tirzepatide is $159.99 monthly or $399.99 every three months. Both are available with B12 or glycine on two subscription lengths. The monthly plan renews every month. The three-month plan is billed once a quarter and works out lower per month. Tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide on both. The price is the same at every dose and however long you stay.

There's no membership fee. Each plan includes the provider review and ongoing support, syringes and alcohol wipes, and shipping. Somira is self-pay only and doesn't take insurance. Its refund policy mentions a possible platform access fee for non-clinical services, so look at your checkout total for any line beyond the plan price.

Somira Health LLC, a San Francisco company founded by two disabled veterans, runs the platform. The prescribers come from the LocumTele provider network, and Somira doesn't name a medical director. In most states a provider reviews your online intake without a call. Some states require a video appointment: Somira lists Washington, D.C., Louisiana, Mississippi and Puerto Rico for every visit, and Arkansas, Georgia, New Mexico, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia for the first one. A provider may also ask for a video visit before prescribing.

Somira names multiple pharmacy partners, including DiRX in Fort Lauderdale, VitaScripts Pharmacy in Tampa, Vios Compounding Pharmacy in Livonia, Michigan, and BelieveRX in Tomball, Texas. The pharmacy handles shipping, carriers and timing. Somira says it serves all 50 states, though some formulations vary by state.

The cutoff is the moment your prescription goes to the pharmacy. If a provider decides you aren't eligible before that, you get a full refund. Once a prescription is issued or sent, every charge is final, including medication, shipping, consultation and any platform fee, even if the pharmacy hasn't filled it yet.

That leaves a short window to cancel or fix a mistake in your intake. Somira says to use patient-portal messaging, because an email may not be seen in time. You can pause or cancel future renewals from the portal at any time.
