NuBloom Review: Price, Pros & Cons

NuBloom is a women's health practice, and GLP-1s are one part of a wider menu that also covers hormones, menopause, gut health and supplements. It sells three compounded GLP-1 injections, each as a month-to-month subscription:

• Microdose tirzepatide, $249 a month, at a single 2.5 mg weekly dose. It's meant for people a provider thinks should stay on a low dose.
• Standard tirzepatide, priced higher, with doses from 2.5 mg up to 15 mg.
• Semaglutide, the lower-priced of the two standard plans, with doses from 0.25 mg up to 2.4 mg.

Each plan is quoted at one monthly figure, and NuBloom doesn't print a separate price for higher doses. Confirm at checkout that your price holds as your dose goes up. There's no insurance billing, but NuBloom says its prescriptions can usually be paid with an FSA or HSA card. You need a BMI of 27 or higher to qualify for the standard plans.

NuBloom only prescribes GLP-1s as injections. It says it doesn't offer pills because peptides are broken down in the stomach. A non-GLP-1 option, a daily bupropion and naltrexone capsule, is $139 a month.

NuBloom's pitch is support beyond the prescription. Every patient gets a self-paced, video-based strength-training program, a support community and educational material.

If you want more, the GLP-1 plus coaching programs bundle a medical evaluation, three months of semaglutide or tirzepatide if you're prescribed, and twelve weekly one-on-one coaching sessions. The coaching covers nutrition, protein, emotional eating, habits and body image. These run for three months and cost several hundred dollars a month more than medication alone, and NuBloom lists the semaglutide version at two different prices on its site. Ask which one applies before you pay.

There's also a lab-first route. You can complete a wellness intake and a lab panel focused on hormones, metabolism, inflammation and nutrient status, then review the results with a provider before choosing a treatment.

NuBloom was founded by Dr. Marianne Pinkston Mueller, who writes about her own weight history on the site. NuBloom is LegitScript certified, and appointments and prescribers come through Qualiphy, a LegitScript-certified telehealth company it works with. You fill out a secure intake, a licensed provider reviews it, and if treatment is appropriate the prescription goes to a regulated U.S. pharmacy and ships to your door. NuBloom doesn't name the compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

NuBloom serves every state except Mississippi, though it notes that availability for individual prescriptions can vary by state.

The refund policy is strict. Prescription medications and compounded products are final sale once dispensed, and a prescription order can't be canceled once processing has begun. Consultations, coaching programs and lab reviews aren't refundable once the service has been provided. Subscription charges aren't refundable once an order ships or a new service period begins.

If an order arrives damaged, defective or wrong, email support within seven days of delivery with your order number and photos, and NuBloom will arrange a replacement or refund. Refunds go only to the original payment method. To stop a subscription, use the cancel link in the site's menu before your next renewal.
