Mint Med Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Mint Med sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each at one price that covers every dose. It calls this a lifetime price: the rate you start on is meant to stay the same as your dose rises. There's no membership fee, and HSA and FSA cards work. Mint Med doesn't bill insurance.

Current month-to-month prices are $89 for semaglutide and $119 for tirzepatide. Three-month prepaid equivalents are $85/$110 and six-month equivalents $80/$99. The homepage banner still says $106 for GLP-1, so use the chosen drug and plan price rather than that generic banner. Tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide at every plan length. Check the product listing for current figures, since Mint Med has changed its advertised price over time.

The same account also sells MIC+B12 injections, NAD+, sermorelin and bremelanotide.

Mint Med names founder Dr. Roderick Huff, MD, in its current about page. Mint Med takes payment upfront, before a clinician reviews your intake. The fee covers the intake review, the provider's assessment, a telehealth visit if your state requires one, and unlimited messaging with the care team. If you turn out not to be medically eligible, Mint Med says it explains why, offers other options and refunds you immediately.

In states that allow it, a provider reviews your chart and sends a recommendation to your patient inbox. Other states need a live video or audio visit, which you schedule online. Once approved, the prescription is processed within 24 to 48 business hours and goes to one of Mint Med's U.S. state-licensed partner pharmacies, which it doesn't name. The product listings promise two-day cold shipping, while the FAQ says shipping usually takes five to seven business days.

Mint Med lists the states it serves by name: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. If your state isn't on it, you can't order.

There's no contract on the monthly plan. To cancel, submit Mint Med's cancellation form at least 48 business hours before your next order processes. Requests inside that window can't be honored, and once an order is processed it can't be canceled or refunded. Medication can't be returned after it ships.

Read the prepaid plans carefully. Mint Med's refund policy says that if you cancel before the end of a three-, six- or twelve-month prepay, you'll be charged the difference between the discounted rate and the full price.
