NewSelf Review: Price, Pros & Cons

NewSelf sells compounded semaglutide for $99.97 per monthly installment and compounded tirzepatide for $144.49 per monthly installment. Both prices are the same at every dose, from the starting dose to the highest, and NewSelf charges no membership fee on top. The price covers the doctor's visit, the medication, overnight cold shipping and a personalized weight plan. You don't need insurance.

The formulas aren't plain. NewSelf's semaglutide comes with vitamin B12 or glycine, and its tirzepatide with vitamin B6 or glycine. If you'd rather have neither, ask the provider before you're prescribed.

This is the part to read twice. NewSelf's refund policy says its weight-loss programs require a three-month commitment, because it ships three months of medication upfront. That holds even if you pay monthly. Cancel before the three months are up and you're charged an early cancellation fee equal to the full retail monthly price of the program.

The monthly payment plan is interest-free with no credit check, but you're still on the hook for the whole term. If a payment declines, NewSelf says it may send the balance to collections and add a 50% surcharge. Disputing a charge with your bank without contacting NewSelf first can bring a $199 chargeback fee.

If you cancel in writing before your doctor visit, you can get a refund minus a $99 administrative fee. If the doctor declines to prescribe, you get a full refund with no fee. Once the consult is done and the prescription goes to the pharmacy, the order can't be canceled or refunded.

Want to switch drugs after the prescription is sent? That's a $150 re-processing fee, and a doctor has to approve it. The same $150 applies if you entered the wrong address and need the box resent. Lost, damaged or wrong shipments are replaced, not refunded, as long as you report them within seven days.

NewSelf says most patients have medication within 72 hours when they sign up Monday through Thursday. It doesn't ship on Fridays, to keep cold-packed medication from sitting in transit over the weekend.

NewSelf runs the platform. Its partner page names MD Integrations as its clinical network and Beaker Pharmacy, Pharmaneek Pharmacy Services and Logos RX as pharmacy partners. The network says it is licensed in all 50 states; confirm availability of your exact medication. NewSelf says batches are tested for potency, sterility and purity; ask which pharmacy will fill your prescription. Check that your state is served before you sign up.

There's no brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound, and compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.
