DreamHug Medical Review: Price, Pros & Cons

DreamHug Medical sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide on four plan lengths: one, three, six and twelve months. You pay once for the plan you choose, and nothing renews. When it runs out, you place a new order and complete another medical evaluation. One-month supplies are $179 for semaglutide injection or oral tablets and $199 for tirzepatide. Three-month supplies cost $387/$477, six months $594/$834 and twelve months $828/$1,188. Tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide at every length.

The longer plans cost far less per month. On semaglutide, the twelve-month plan works out to well under half the one-month price, and the product page shows each plan's total and its monthly equivalent before you pay. Prepaying a year is a big upfront sum, though, so weigh that against the refund rules below.

One price covers the provider evaluation, the medication, syringes and alcohol swabs, dose adjustments, care-team support and free shipping. There's no membership fee. DreamHug doesn't bill insurance, and it suggests checking with your plan administrator about using HSA or FSA funds.

You answer a short set of health questions online, and an independent, U.S.-licensed provider reviews them and decides whether to prescribe. If you're approved, the medication ships from the partner pharmacy straight to your door, with written instructions for your first dose. Multi-month plans ship on a schedule set with your provider.

DreamHug is a telehealth platform based in Pompano Beach, Florida. It isn't a pharmacy and doesn't compound anything. It names Belmar Pharmacy, a 503A pharmacy at 12012 N 111th Ave in Youngtown, Arizona, that prepares each prescription for a named patient, on its partner pharmacy page. It doesn't name a medical director.

DreamHug lists all 50 states on its where-we-serve page. Its product FAQ adds that availability depends on where its providers are licensed, and suggests calling or emailing support to confirm your state before you order. Do that, especially before buying a long plan.

DreamHug's refund window is short. You can ask for a refund before your medication has been ordered or dispensed. Once the order has gone to the pharmacy, or the medication has been prepared or shipped, refunds generally aren't allowed. The product page points to that policy for anyone a provider decides not to treat, so ask how quickly an order goes to the pharmacy after approval.

Because nothing renews, there's no subscription to cancel. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.
