What Care Bare Rx charges
Care Bare Rx lists weight-loss treatment from $199 a month. That's the month-to-month starting price for compounded semaglutide. Compounded tirzepatide costs more, and brand-name Ozempic is listed from $705 a month.
The starting figure isn't a flat rate. Care Bare Rx's FAQ says price varies by dose and medication, and its terms add that your final charge can shift with the medication prescribed and the pharmacy that fills it. Support is supposed to contact you if it does. The listed price includes telehealth consultations, a treatment plan, a monthly prescription, shipping, and email and phone support.
There's no insurance billing. The providers are out-of-network with every plan, including Medicare and Medicaid, so you pay the full amount yourself. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Ask for your monthly price at your expected maintenance dose, and the plan length behind it, before you pay.

Pills or weekly shots
Care Bare Rx offers three ways to take a GLP-1:
- Weekly injections: compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide.
- Daily pills: brand-name Rybelsus, the oral semaglutide tablet, or an oral tirzepatide formulation, compounded and prescribed at the provider's discretion.
- Brand-name pens: Ozempic, at the higher price above.

Who's behind the service
Care Bare Rx is a consumer brand. The telehealth runs on the CareGLP platform from CareValidate Inc., based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Prescribing is done by Lion MD, a group of independent doctors led by Dr. Ana Lisa Carr and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink, with NPI numbers published for them and two supporting doctors. Spanish-speaking providers are available.
You complete an intake form, a provider reviews it within 24 hours and may order screening tests, and then you have a telehealth consultation. If you're prescribed, the medication goes out by mail-order pharmacy each month, typically arriving within five to seven days. Care Bare Rx names four compounding pharmacies, including Strive Pharmacy, Epiq Scripts and Casa Pharma Rx. It serves all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
Before you sign up
- Consult fees aren't refundable. Once you've had a medical consultation, that fee is kept, and all medication sales are final.
- Payment doesn't guarantee a prescription. The provider decides.
- Ask how renewals work. Care Bare Rx doesn't publish its cancellation steps, so ask support how and when to cancel before your next monthly shipment.
- One account covers more. It also sells hair-growth, sexual-health and NAD+ treatments.
