Synergy Rx Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Synergy Rx publishes "starting at" prices for each weight-loss medication it offers:

Those are floors, not quotes. Synergy says the final price depends on your treatment plan and the medication you're prescribed, and that you'll see full pricing after your consultation. It doesn't say whether the starting price is month to month or tied to a longer plan, or whether it rises with the dose. Ask both before you pay.

New patients get a $100 welcome credit at checkout with no code needed. Shipping is free, and FSA and HSA cards are accepted. Synergy notes that most insurance plans don't cover GLP-1s for weight loss through telemedicine, and its providers don't bill insurance or Medicare.

You fill out a questionnaire online, then a licensed provider in your state reviews it and builds a treatment plan. Before each refill, your provider checks your progress and adjusts the dose if needed, with check-ins monthly or quarterly. Medication ships discreetly to your door.

Synergy runs on a patient management platform called CareGLP. The doctors and nurse practitioners are independent professionals working with affiliated medical groups, and CareGLP isn't itself a medical practice or a pharmacy. Synergy's FAQ names four compounding pharmacies it works with. Ask which one will fill your prescription.

Synergy says its plans include unlimited appointments, unlimited messaging and round-the-clock access to its clinical team. If you have side effects or want to stop, you contact your provider through the patient portal, and they can guide you through tapering or switching medications.

• Your state. The FAQ says Synergy's services reach all 50 states, subject to each state's rules. Its terms say the service is only available in certain states and tell you to email customer service for the current list. Confirm yours first.
• Refunds and canceling. Synergy's about page mentions a money-back guarantee, but its terms don't spell out how refunds or cancellations work, and they say consultation fees aren't refundable. Get the rules in writing.
• Dose pricing. Ask whether the price changes as your dose increases.
• Eligibility. Synergy follows the usual guideline: a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 and up with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure.
