SexyMD Review: Price, Pros & Cons

SexyMD is a weight-loss service for women that sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide injections. Each comes in four plans: a month-to-month "Monthly Flex" plan, and three-, six- and twelve-month plans.

Monthly Flex costs $179 for semaglutide or $279 for tirzepatide in month one, then $299 or $399 monthly on renewal. The structure is what to understand before choosing a plan:

• The headline price is a first month. The "as low as" figure on the homepage is the introductory price on Monthly Flex. From month two, the monthly rate is considerably higher.
• Longer plans cost less per month. The twelve-month plan carries the lowest monthly rate, then the six-month and three-month plans.
• Longer plans ship in 12-week batches. The three-month plan is a single 12-week delivery. The six- and twelve-month plans also ship every 12 weeks, though the price is shown as a monthly figure.
• Tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide on every plan.

Ask at checkout what you'll be charged on day one, how often you'll be charged after that, and what month two costs on the plan you pick. SexyMD's terms say the price and billing cadence are shown at purchase and again in your account.

You pick a plan, then fill out a free medical intake and health history. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether the medication fits. SexyMD is a technology platform. It doesn't employ the doctors, who are independent practitioners working through affiliated medical groups. Once approved, the medication ships in discreet packaging, usually within three to five business days.

SexyMD says it uses a network of U.S. 503A compounding pharmacies, which mix prescriptions for individual patients, and FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities. It doesn't name them, and your prescription can be filled by or moved between any pharmacy in that network. Its terms also say medication won't come in child-resistant packaging, so plan to store it out of reach.

Read this part closely. SexyMD's terms say an order is final the moment you submit it, because medical review starts right away. You can get a full refund in only a few cases: if you reach support before a provider has started reviewing your order, if the provider declines you, or if the pharmacy can't fill it. If your provider suggests a different treatment and you say no, that order's fee is refunded.

For ongoing plans, you can cancel from your account dashboard or by emailing support. Do it at least 48 hours before your next renewal date. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

• Confirm your state. SexyMD says it's available in all 50 states, but adds that some exclusions apply depending on state rules and pharmacy licensing.
• Know the renewal price. The first-month figure isn't what you'll keep paying.
• Payment options. SexyMD takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and may take HSA or FSA cards.

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.
