Rixa Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Rixa Health bundles the provider visit and the medication into one price per four weeks, and the price depends on your dose. It publishes a full price list by dose level for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, so you can see roughly where you'll land before you book. Expect the cost to climb as your provider moves you up: each step is a higher four-week price, and tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide at every level.

Two lines in the price list are worth reading closely. A couple of semaglutide levels are listed per five weeks rather than four, so compare them per week. And the fine print says the price includes the visit plus the pharmacy's cost of the medication, which ships to you directly from the compounding pharmacy rather than from Rixa.

Rixa also sells needle-free oral dissolving tablets of semaglutide (with B12) and tirzepatide, priced per 30 days or per 90 days. The 90-day packs cost less per month. HSA and FSA cards work, and new patients get $25 off their first visit.

Rixa is a small clinic with named clinicians. Its medical lead is Timothy Scott, D.O., and the team includes nurse practitioner Mia Scott and physicians Shawn Stansbery, D.O., and Daniel Neumeyer, D.O. Each provider's booking page lists the states they're licensed in, so check that someone covers yours.

You book an appointment and fill in an intake form. If anything in it rules you out, Rixa tells you before the visit and doesn't charge you. Before your first visit you get a 30-minute video covering the program, the medications, side effects and diet. The visit itself is a live video appointment where the provider reviews your history and builds a plan with you.

Your card is charged only after the visit, once you've approved the plan and the price. There's no monthly membership fee and no contract.

Monthly follow-ups are required for the first six months. If you go 90 days without treatment, you'll need to fill in a new intake form to restart. Between refills, the four-week price covers any provider contact you need, by text or phone. Rixa also offers lab work, which some patients use to guide treatment.

Rixa lists its partner compounding pharmacies on its site. Ask your provider which one will fill your prescription.
