Measured Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Measured sells compounded GLP-1s with the medication included, and brand-name GLP-1s with the medication billed on its own.

On the compounded side, semaglutide starts at $119 a month and tirzepatide at $219 a month, with no insurance needed. The semaglutide listing shows that $119 against a $199 standard rate and a $960 saving, which works out to a twelve-month commitment. Measured's terms allow monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual billing, so look at the term in your cart before you pay. There's also a lower-dose "GLP-1 microdose" plan from $79 a month, which Measured sells for longevity rather than as a weight-loss dose.

On the brand-name side, you pay a membership from $49 a month, plus the drug:

Insurance is where Measured puts real effort. Its care team handles prior authorization paperwork for brand-name drugs, and if your plan covers the medication, you pay the membership and your pharmacy copay. Measured also offers a version of the membership with a weekly video session with a registered dietitian. Those visits can be billed to insurance through its partner medical group, though you'd still owe any copay.

You take a short eligibility quiz, then fill out a fuller medical assessment. Some people are asked for lab work. A board-certified provider, either a physician or a nurse practitioner, reviews it and writes a plan. Compounded medication ships free by two-day delivery. Brand-name prescriptions can go to your own pharmacy.

The membership includes unlimited messaging with your provider, a registered dietitian and a care coordinator, plus monthly check-ins to adjust your dose. The service is limited to adults aged 18 to 65.

Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. Measured can raise the price with 30 days' email notice. You can cancel from the patient portal at any time, but cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, with no partial refunds. Fees become non-refundable once a clinician has reviewed your intake or your medication has shipped.

Measured's terms also offer a weight-loss guarantee. If you meet its program criteria for six months, starting with finishing your medical form and baseline labs within five days, and still lose less than 5% of your starting weight, it refunds all fees paid to Measured in those six months.
