EllieMD Review: Price, Pros & Cons

EllieMD sells compounded GLP-1s in two separate programs, and it's worth knowing which one you're looking at.

The microdose program uses low, individually set doses. It's $229 a month for the GLP-1 (semaglutide) version and $239 a month for the GLP-1/GIP (tirzepatide) version, billed as a 12-week supply: $687 and $717 per order. EllieMD describes microdosing as an off-label longevity product, not a dedicated weight loss program, and it requires a BMI of 20 or higher.

The weight management program uses standard doses and requires a BMI of 25 or higher. For a glycine injection plan, twelve weeks cost $717 for semaglutide or $897 for tirzepatide. The longer program averages are $229/$289 per four weeks on a twenty-four-week term and $199/$249 on a forty-eight-week term, with totals of $1,374/$1,734 and $2,388/$2,988 respectively. It's sold as a one-time purchase or on three-, six- or twelve-month programs, each charged in full up front. The longest program has the lowest average rate and the shortest renewing program the highest, and EllieMD says the price stays the same when your clinician adjusts your dose. Tirzepatide costs more than semaglutide on every plan. Check the upfront total before you pay, since the plan labeled twelve months is a forty-eight-week supply paid up front.

EllieMD lets you choose a few things yourself before the medical review. You pick an injection or twice-weekly oral drops, then the base drug, then an additive: vitamin B12, glycine or L-carnitine, with NAD+ blends also listed. A microdose order is three vials plus the additive, if your provider approves it, designed to last 12 weeks.

EllieMD names its pharmacy: prescriptions are dispensed by CLOVERx pharmacy. Medication should go straight into the refrigerator when it arrives, and EllieMD says shipping typically takes 2 to 15 business days after a prescription is written.

You create a profile, choose your product, complete a short health assessment and pay. A state-licensed MD, DO or other qualified provider then reviews it, and a phone call may be required. If you aren't prescribed, you aren't charged, or your payment is refunded. EllieMD says it's available in all 50 states, with no separate membership, shipping or consultation fees.

On every weight management plan, your clinician checks in every three months, and you can message your provider in the patient portal between check-ins. Plans renew automatically for the same term at the same rate. EllieMD sends a reminder 14 days before each renewal, and you can change or cancel up to 48 hours before it.

EllieMD runs on a brand-partner model, so you may arrive through a partner's link and see their name on the site. It also sells peptides, menopause hormone therapy, sexual health products, protein powder and skincare. New weight loss customers get a digital guide, a progress journal and a measuring tape with the first order.
