HumeCare+ Review: Price, Pros & Cons

HumeCare+ advertises its physician-guided GLP-1 protocol from $199 a month on a three-month plan. That's the figure after a $100 "welcome credit" taken off a listed $299. The homepage doesn't say which medication or dose the $199 covers, and it shows no month-to-month price. HumeCare's terms describe one membership fee that bundles the app, the consultations and the medication when it's filled through HumeCare's pharmacy partners. They also allow extra charges for certain medications or doses, disclosed at fulfillment.

There's one more fee to ask about. The terms mention a clinical consultation fee charged at enrollment and again at each refill, collected for the physician network. No amount is published.

HumeCare's pitch is that you get more than a prescription:

• A physician-chosen GLP-1, compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide
• Glycine, B12 and B6 added to support muscle and ease side effects
• A Hume Pod smart scale for weekly body-composition scans that track fat and lean mass
• The Hume app for logging doses and food and messaging the care team
• Free shipping, which HumeCare describes as next-day

Its named medical lead is Dr. Aaron Carter, MD, Chief Medical Officer. Prescribing is done by an independent network of licensed physicians that HumeCare doesn't name, and compounded prescriptions are filled by licensed compounding pharmacies it doesn't name either.

Memberships renew automatically at the then-current rate. For prepaid plans, HumeCare emails a reminder at least 7 days before renewal. There are no refunds for partly used periods. If a physician finds you ineligible after the first evaluation, the membership fee is refunded within 10 business days, minus the scale's cost if you don't return it.

The homepage advertises a 90-day money-back guarantee and a promise to refund if you don't lose 10% of your weight in six months. The written terms are narrower. You must log every dose in the app with none missed, complete all 13 weekly Hume Pod weigh-ins, follow every clinical recommendation, and stay a paying member for the full 90 days. Even then, the refund applies only if you lose no measurable weight, and it excludes the consultation fees.

Get three things in writing: the medication and dose your price includes, the consultation fee charged at each refill, and what the plan renews at. Check your state too. HumeCare serves only states where its physician network is licensed and doesn't list them on its homepage. The homepage also shows UK regulator badges, so ask which U.S. pharmacy fills your prescription.
