What GoodRx is, and what it isn't
GoodRx is a prescription-savings company. It doesn't make or ship medication. You use its prices at a retail pharmacy, with a prescription from your own doctor or from GoodRx's online weight-loss care.
For weight loss, its main offer is brand-name medication at self-pay prices, not compounded drugs. GoodRx says eligible self-pay patients can get Zepbound KwikPen starting at $299 a month at more than 70,000 pharmacies, through a program with Eli Lilly. "Starting at" matters: higher doses can cost more.

Check the plan total, billing period and cancellation terms before you enroll. A clinician decides whether treatment is appropriate.
Other GLP-1s you can price through GoodRx
GoodRx also announced self-pay pricing for Foundayo, Lilly's daily GLP-1 pill, and lists prices for Wegovy and Ozempic, including the Wegovy pill. Those prices change with the dose and with the manufacturers' offers, and some launch prices were limited-time. Look up your exact drug and dose in the GoodRx app before you get to the counter.
Without one of these programs, an ordinary GoodRx coupon on a brand-name GLP-1 may still leave you paying close to the full cash price.
Getting the prescription
If you don't already have a prescriber, GoodRx runs an online weight-loss care service. It's a monthly subscription, and the medication is billed separately from it. A clinician decides whether a GLP-1 is right for you. You then fill the prescription at a pharmacy and pay the self-pay price there.
If you have a doctor who will prescribe, you can skip the subscription and just bring the prescription and the GoodRx price to the pharmacy.
Before you rely on a GoodRx price
- Check that your pharmacy honors the self-pay program price, not just a standard coupon.
- Confirm the price for your dose. Starter doses are usually the lowest.
- Ask whether a price is a launch offer with an end date.
- Self-pay purchases generally don't count toward an insurance deductible, so ask your plan if that matters to you.
