Mixx Health & Wellness Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Mixx Health & Wellness advertises a general starting rate of $120 a month on its homepage, while its GLP-1/GIP injection kit starts at $235 a month. Neither listing gives a drug-by-drug, dose-by-dose price table. Ask which medication the quote covers and what you'll pay as your dose changes before you start.

What Mixx does spell out is how it charges. There's no subscription and no recurring fee. You're charged only for the medication you're prescribed. Consultations and follow-up appointments are free, and you can check in with your provider as often as you like through its messaging system. FSA and HSA cards are accepted.

You start with a free consultation with a board-certified provider, who builds a dosing plan around you. Appointments are online, and providers offer evening and weekend times. Care is delivered through Elevis Medical Group, and Mixx names its medical director, Dr. James David Lawrence III, MD.

Be on time. If you're five or more minutes late without notice, or don't answer the provider's call, the visit is rescheduled. Canceling or changing an appointment needs 24 hours' notice, and a missed visit costs $100, charged to the card on file.

Mixx says its compounded GLP-1/GIP comes from Promise Pharmacy in Palm Harbor, Florida. Its FAQ adds that Elevis Medical Group keeps full discretion to order from other pharmacy partners. You can ask for a preferred pharmacy, but the request may not be honored, and that isn't grounds for a refund.

Mixx publishes the list of states it serves in its FAQ. Several large states, including California and New York, aren't on it, so check yours before you book.

Refills work through your provider. When you agree to an order or refill with them, Mixx has permission to charge your card and send the prescription. If something's wrong, you have 24 hours from when the payment processes to ask to cancel the order or change the prescription, and Elevis Medical Group has to approve it. A $125 cancellation or prescription-change fee may apply, depending on processing.

After that, all payments are final. Because each prescription is compounded for you, medication isn't refundable. Mixx says it will discuss problems one transaction at a time if you contact the office.
