AVArx Review: Price, Pros & Cons

AVArx advertises GLP-1 care from $199, for compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide. That's a starting figure, not a price list. AVArx says exact pricing depends on the treatment and plan you choose during your visit, and that you'll see the plan total before checkout. Ask what later months cost, and whether the price changes with your dose, before you pay.

There's no insurance billing and no membership fee. HSA or FSA payment may be possible, and AVArx can give you receipts to submit for reimbursement. Shipping is expedited and free on its GLP-1 plans.

The medical questionnaire takes about five minutes and covers your goals, history, current medications and lifestyle. Starting it is free. A U.S.-licensed provider reviews it and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Submitting it doesn't guarantee a prescription.

Some states require a live visit first, and AVArx publishes which. Arkansas, Washington, D.C., Idaho, Mississippi and Virginia require a real-time audio or phone call. Kansas, New Mexico, New York, South Dakota, Vermont and Wisconsin require a real-time video call. AVArx arranges those before a prescription is issued.

AVArx is a technology platform based in Glendale, California, not a pharmacy or medical practice. Care comes from independent providers of Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC. Medication is dispensed by independent licensed pharmacies in its network, which AVArx doesn't name. Ask which one will fill yours.

Once a prescription is written, the pharmacy usually processes the order in one to three business days. Standard delivery then takes three to seven business days, and cold medications ship in insulated packaging with cold packs. After you start, you can message your provider any time for dose changes, refills or questions. AVArx says it serves all 50 states.

AVArx says you can pause or cancel any time. To cancel an order, email support before the pharmacy has dispensed and shipped it. After that, the order can't be canceled or returned, opened or not. Consultation fees are generally non-refundable once a provider has reviewed your information.

If an order arrives damaged, gets lost or contains the wrong item, email support within seven days of the delivery date, and AVArx will work with the pharmacy on a free replacement where appropriate. Disputes go to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County.
