Coby Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Coby Health publishes a separate monthly price for every dose step, and that's the number to plan around. Pay month to month and compounded semaglutide starts at $159 for the 0.25 mg month, while compounded tirzepatide starts at $239 for the 2.5 mg month. Each later step costs more:

The price covers the initial consultation, the prescription, the medication, on-demand messages with your provider, an injection kit with syringes and alcohol pads, and free shipping. There's no membership fee, and Coby doesn't bill insurance.

If you'd rather pay less per month, Coby sells three- and six-month packages, called Kickstart bundles, in three styles. A first-quarter or first-six-months bundle walks a new patient up the usual dose schedule. A same-dose bundle holds you at one strength for 12 or 24 weeks. A titration bundle starts at your next dose and steps you up from there.

The low "as low as" figures in Coby's ads come from the six-month same-dose bundle at the starting dose. At higher doses, the same bundle costs much more per month. Every bundle is a single upfront payment: three-month bundles ship all at once, and six-month bundles ship as two three-month supplies. The first-quarter offers are only for people starting the drug or continuing the starting dose.

Coby is a technology platform, not a medical practice. Its terms name the medical group behind the prescribing, Beluga Health, P.A., which employs or contracts with the clinicians. Your intake is a three-minute online questionnaire, and no video visit is needed unless your state requires one. If you're approved, your provider sends dosing instructions and you can message them for follow-ups and dose changes.

Prescriptions go to pharmacies Coby contracts with, which it doesn't name, and your prescription can be moved between them. Coby's FAQ says its providers may prescribe brand-name drugs, but only the compounded versions are priced and sold. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. Coby serves most states but not Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi or New Mexico.

There's no subscription to cancel on the monthly route. After each order you're invited to a follow-up visit for the next month, and if you don't need a refill, you just tell the team.

Canceling an order is harder once it's moving. After a prescription goes to the pharmacy, the order can't be changed. Before that, Coby will try to cancel but doesn't guarantee it, and a successful cancellation still costs a $50 non-refundable visit and clinical fee. Shipped orders can't be refunded, though Coby says it will work with the pharmacy on anything damaged in delivery. Support is by email.
