Aspen Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Aspen charges $179 a month for compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide, and the price is the same at every dose. That figure covers the provider consultation, dosing guided by your provider, the medication, free delivery and ongoing check-ins with the care team. There's no insurance billing, so it's cash pay.

The catch is in small type under the price: it comes with a three-month commitment. Plan on at least $537 before you can stop. Aspen also sells six- and twelve-month programs paid in one upfront charge, by card or through Klarna or Afterpay. Those are treated as a single purchase rather than a subscription, so they can't be canceled partway for money back.

Your vial comes with either glycine or B12 added. If you have a preference, raise it during the intake.

You start with a short eligibility check, then a treatment-specific health intake. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether to prescribe. If they do, the medication is compounded and shipped from a U.S.-licensed pharmacy in discreet packaging. Aspen doesn't name the pharmacy, and its terms say prescriptions can move between its pharmacies without notice.

Aspen describes itself as a technology platform, with clinical decisions made by independent providers. It doesn't say how long shipping takes, only that tracking is sent once the order is filled. A premium tier called Aspen+, with overnight shipping and a concierge, is marked coming soon.

Aspen offers a refund of its program membership fees from the first seven months if you complete 28 weeks of treatment and lose less than 5% of your starting weight. The conditions are strict:

• You must be a new customer, with no other weight loss prescription in the prior 12 months.
• You take weekly doses through Aspen for 28 weeks in a row and log your progress every week without a gap.
• You must have reached at least 1.7 mg of semaglutide or 10 mg of tirzepatide, and not stepped down in weeks 26 to 28.
• You prove your weight with a letter from an unrelated physician, or a short video on a scale reciting a code from support.

Aspen makes the final call, and approved refunds are paid within 30 days.

Month-to-month plans renew automatically. Cancel at least four business days before the renewal is processed, by email or from your dashboard. The first renewal may be charged early so treatment doesn't lapse, and later shipments can be billed up to three days early.

There are no refunds for a partly used month and no returns of medication. If you're charged in error, you have five business days after delivery to report it.
