Mochi Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Mochi Health charges for care and medication separately. The membership covers your doctor, dietitian and care team, and the medication is billed on top of it. That's the first thing to understand, because Mochi's ads lead with the medication price alone.

The membership is $79 a month, and longer prepaid terms cost less per month:

New members are offered a discounted first month. The homepage says the first month of the one-month plan is free, while the weight-loss page says $39, so check what checkout shows. Either way, the promo renews at the standard rate unless you cancel before it ends.

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are priced by weekly dose, and Mochi has recently cut its starting prices. Medication starts at $60 a month for semaglutide and $90 for tirzepatide. With the regular $79 membership, the combined starting totals are $139 and $169. Prices also vary by pharmacy, because Mochi lets you compare pharmacies in its marketplace and pick one. Ask what your dose costs at the pharmacy you choose, then add the membership.

Beyond compounded injections, Mochi's providers can prescribe a compounded semaglutide pill, a compounded daily orforglipron tablet and metformin. They also list brand-name Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic, Foundayo and the Wegovy pill. Mochi will work with your insurance on those, including prior authorization paperwork, and in some states your insurer may cover the membership too.

You start with a short questionnaire, then book a live 30-minute video visit with a board-certified provider, usually within a week of signing up. You choose your provider and can switch to another if yours isn't available. A registered dietitian or nutrition provider is part of the plan, and there's in-app messaging and round-the-clock support by phone.

If you're coming from another program, Mochi can keep you on your current dose with records of your previous prescription. Later in the program your provider repeats your labs before planning maintenance. Mochi itself is a technology company. The care comes from independently owned medical practices it supports.

All prescription sales are final. Mochi won't take back or refund a prescription medication, though it will look into it if you think the pharmacy made an error filling yours. The membership can be canceled anytime, but cancel before a promotional month ends if you don't want the standard rate to kick in.
