Concierge MD LA Review: Price, Pros & Cons

ConciergeMD bills its weight loss program as a monthly subscription with a four-month minimum. Compounded semaglutide is $199 a month and compounded tirzepatide is $299 a month, and neither price changes with your dose. Plan on at least $796 for semaglutide or $1,196 for tirzepatide before you can stop.

The brand-name drugs are on the same order form at a very different price. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound are each $1,999 a month, while a separate insurance consent describes different terms, including $650 monthly Zepbound or a $250 cancellation fee if coverage fails. Confirm which arrangement applies before enrolling. Optional add-ons are priced separately: sermorelin injections at $299, NAD injections at $299 and Lipostat injections at $199. Any coupon discount applies to the first month only.

Don't expect a box every month. ConciergeMD's FAQ says the $199 semaglutide membership includes one shipment every 90 days, and the $299 tirzepatide membership one shipment every 60 days, if your provider approves. Most patients get their first shipment within a week of speaking with the provider.

The compounded semaglutide comes with glycine or vitamin B12. The tirzepatide comes with glycine, B12 or niacinamide, depending on where on its site you look, so ask which one you'll get. ConciergeMD says its medication is made in state-licensed sterile compounding pharmacies or FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities, but doesn't name them. Every patient also gets a prescription for anti-nausea medication.

You sign up with your details and pick a treatment, then have a virtual consultation with a medical provider who decides whether you're eligible. ConciergeMD says it treats people with a BMI of 25 or higher, and it excludes anyone pregnant or breastfeeding or with certain thyroid cancer histories. Lab work is part of the screening: a metabolic panel, fasting lipids, TSH, A1C and insulin.

If you don't qualify after the clinical review, you get a full refund. ConciergeMD is a concierge medicine company led by Dr. Abe Malkin, with Dr. Neal Kumar as medical director, and it's part of the same company as Drip Hydration. It says it offers coverage throughout the United States, and its order form accepts all 50 states and Washington, DC.

Canceling isn't self-serve. You email the weight loss team or contact your local Drip Hydration provider, and the four-month minimum still applies. Ask before you sign up how the minimum is counted when shipments arrive every 60 or 90 days, and whether a canceled plan still ships the medication you've already paid for.
