What Allara costs
Allara is a women's health practice first and a GLP-1 prescriber second. Its pricing reflects that. If you have in-network insurance, most visits cost your specialist copay. Allara is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (including Anthem and CareFirst), Cigna, UnitedHealthcare (including Oxford and UMR) and GEHA in some states.

Which GLP-1s Allara prescribes
Allara's providers prescribe brand-name GLP-1s, including Zepbound vials and KwikPens, the Wegovy pen and pill, and the Foundayo pill, along with Ozempic, Mounjaro and Saxenda. They also prescribe non-GLP-1 options such as metformin and Contrave. Whether you get a GLP-1 depends on your diagnosis, your goals and what your insurance covers. Allara says many of its patients choose not to take any prescription at all.
How care works
Your first visits are by video: about 30 minutes with an OB-GYN, endocrinologist or women's health nurse practitioner, and about 45 minutes with a registered dietitian. You keep the same two clinicians throughout. Lab panels for hormones and metabolism are ordered early, and check-ins follow every one to two weeks or as your provider recommends.
You have to be physically in the state where you're insured during each visit, sitting still in a private space. Full medical care is available in 44 states and Washington, DC. Hawaii, Kansas, New Mexico, Rhode Island and South Carolina get the nutrition program only.
Canceling and refunds
You can cancel through the patient dashboard at any time without a fee, but the request has to arrive at least 48 hours before your next billing date. Otherwise the next cycle is charged. Refund requests can be made within 30 days of a charge, and Allara's clinical operations team decides them case by case. Its terms say subscription fees are generally final. If you cancel and come back later, you pay whatever the rate is then.
Who it suits
Allara fits women with PCOS, thyroid problems, insulin resistance or perimenopause who want a specialist and a dietitian, with medication as one part of the plan. If you only want a GLP-1 at a known monthly price, ask what your drug will cost before you book. Allara doesn't show medication prices next to its membership.
