Lemonaid Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Lemonaid Health is a national online doctor's office that treats everything from anxiety to acne. Its weight-loss program charges two things: a weight-loss membership and the medication.

The membership is $49 a month, and it's required for every weight-loss treatment. Lemonaid is running a promotion that makes the first month of membership free. From month two, the $49 is billed every month on top of your medication.

The medication is priced separately, and Lemonaid says its cost depends on the drug you're prescribed and the plan term you choose, with lower monthly rates for longer terms. Standard monthly compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide each cost $299 for medication, or $348 with the required membership. The $199 medication options are separate microdose plans. Before you check out, add $49 to the medication price you're quoted. That's your real monthly cost.

Membership and compounded medication are cash pay. Eligible brand-name prescriptions may be covered by insurance, and Lemonaid offers coverage checks and support. You're billed only if the prescription is approved. Weight-loss service is not yet available in every state, so confirm yours before enrolling.

Lemonaid's affiliated providers prescribe compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each in standard and lower-dose microdose versions. Microdose plans cost less than standard doses and should be discussed separately with your provider.

Brand-name options are on the menu too. Zepbound vials go through LillyDirect, Lilly's own pharmacy, which bills you for the drug directly, so that's a second bill outside Lemonaid. Ozempic and Wegovy are also listed. Lemonaid doesn't name the pharmacy that fills its compounded prescriptions.

You start with a detailed intake about your health history, concerns and current medications. A Lemonaid-affiliated provider reviews it and holds a consultation to decide whether treatment fits. If it does, the provider recommends a plan, usually starting at a low dose and stepping up.

You'll have check-ins with a provider each time your dose might change, and regular check-ins once you reach a maintenance dose. Medication ships free in discreet packaging. Lemonaid's care is provided by four affiliated medical groups that all operate as Lemonaid Health.

Lemonaid's refund policy is short and firm. All fees and payments, including memberships, refills and visits, are non-refundable, and there are no refunds for partly used services. If you think it made a billing or pharmacy error, contact patient support.

You can cancel recurring memberships and refill shipments from your account at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. For its other memberships, Lemonaid asks for at least 48 hours' notice before the renewal date. Ask whether the same notice applies to the weight-loss membership.
