HealthOn Review: Price, Pros & Cons

HealthOn sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide as subscriptions, each with one price that covers a range of doses. The monthly subscription lists semaglutide at $155 for the first month, then $255 at renewal, covering doses up to 1.5 mg. Tirzepatide is $275 initially, then $375 a month, for doses up to 10 mg. HealthOn says the price includes the medication, the provider's care and shipping, with no added fees.

The figure in HealthOn's menu banner, "starting at $155 a month," isn't the price of either drug month to month. The public product headlines show $189 for semaglutide and $290 for tirzepatide with fine print about a 12-month plan. Those figures differ from the monthly subscription charges, so confirm which plan you are choosing. You can also pay monthly, or be billed and shipped every three months for a lower per-month rate, and HealthOn offers prepaid 3-, 6- and 12-month plans. The product listings advertise a discount on the 12-month plan that only appears at checkout, so compare the total for each plan length before you choose.

HealthOn doesn't take insurance and isn't enrolled with Medicare or Medicaid. All plans are HSA and FSA eligible.

You start with a short online health questionnaire. A U.S.-licensed provider reviews it and decides whether semaglutide or tirzepatide is appropriate, and HealthOn advertises same-day virtual visits. If you're approved, the medication ships free and discreetly, usually in one to two days, with supplies and instructions.

The company was founded by Dr. Rasoul Montazeri, a physician who serves as its CEO, and it names the physicians who run its clinical operations. It doesn't say which provider will handle your case. After you start, HealthOn's Care 360 program offers round-the-clock support from health coaches, dietitians and fitness staff, along with progress tracking.

HealthOn says its prescriptions are filled by 503A state-licensed compounding pharmacies (pharmacies that mix each prescription for a named patient), but it doesn't name them. It lists independent third-party lab testing on its compounded medication for potency, sterility, pH and bacterial endotoxins. HealthOn's terms also say you can choose an outside pharmacy instead of one in its network. Ask how that changes the price before you decide.

Read the cancellation terms closely. There's no minimum commitment, but HealthOn requires 30 days' written notice, sent by email, and you keep being billed and served until that date. The first renewal may be charged a little early. Shipped medication isn't refundable, and refunds for a partly used period are case by case.

HealthOn also advertises a six-month money-back guarantee, with strict conditions:

• You must stay active for at least 180 days and upload medical forms and labs within five days of joining.
• You must take every weekly dose, log your weight weekly in its patient portal and record 150 minutes of exercise a week through a linked app or watch.
• You must have started with a BMI of 30 or higher and lost less than 5% of your starting weight.
• Requests go in between days 181 and 210, and the cost of medication is never refunded.

Brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound isn't listed as a product, so ask HealthOn directly if you want a brand-name drug.
