NuviaRx Review: Price, Pros & Cons

NuviaRx advertises compounded semaglutide from $140 a month and compounded tirzepatide from $170 a month. Both prices carry an asterisk: they apply "with purchase of annual plan." NuviaRx doesn't publish what a shorter plan or a single month costs, so ask for the month-to-month price, and how much a year's plan costs up front, before you choose.

The monthly price covers your full monthly supply of medication, the physician consultation, monthly check-ins with your provider and free delivery from a licensed pharmacy. There's no membership fee, and NuviaRx says the price doesn't rise as your dose goes up. You're billed for medication when it ships, under the plan you chose.

You answer a short online quiz and medical questions. A U.S.-based doctor reviews your answers and usually replies within about 24 hours. In some states, a video visit or live chat is required first. The provider sets your medication and dose with a titration schedule, and some formulations add vitamin B12.

After approval, your prescription typically ships within two to four business days. You can switch between semaglutide and tirzepatide later, and your provider will adjust the prescription.

NuviaRx calls itself a telehealth technology platform, not a medical provider. Its FAQ names two pharmacies that may fill your prescription: Manifest Pharmacy in South Carolina and RX Compounding Store in Miami. You don't pick which one. You can ask to send the prescription to a local pharmacy instead, but NuviaRx's prices apply only through its own network.

It serves the U.S. only, and some treatments are restricted by state. Your state's availability is confirmed during the intake. Patients in California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont are assigned one of two named physicians, Dr. Jeffrey Shellenberger or Dr. Marc Serota.

You can cancel, pause or switch programs at any time from your account, and NuviaRx says there's no penalty. It contacts you before each refill is billed and shipped. That's your window to make changes.

Once your card has been charged and the package is with the carrier, the sale is final, and prescription medication can't be returned. If a package is lost in transit, NuviaRx works with the carrier to find it and reships if needed. Report damage to the patient care team by phone or email.
