Tuyo Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Tuyo Health sells compounded semaglutide from $155 a month, shown against a crossed-out $179. Compounded tirzepatide is advertised at $235 a month against a crossed-out $329. Both compounded plans are cash pay only, with provider visits and free shipping included and no membership fee.

Tuyo calls its prices "as low as" figures and doesn't publish a table by dose, so ask what your plan will cost as your dose goes up. Its terms say you'll see one total subscription price that covers the consultation, the prescription and pharmacy costs together.

The compounded plans also include a lab service and weekly support groups with habit tracking. That's useful if you'd like your provider to have bloodwork to work from without arranging it yourself.

Tuyo also offers brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound, and those can go through insurance. Tuyo says a Wegovy copay can be as low as $25 a month if your plan covers it, though that depends entirely on your insurer. For Zepbound, the pens may be covered by insurance or paid for at a regular pharmacy, while the lower-dose vials are cash only and ship directly from Eli Lilly's LillyDirect. Tuyo also prescribes metformin, used off-label for weight loss.

You fill out a quick online form about your health and weight goals, and a Tuyo provider reviews it and decides whether treatment is right for you. Consultations are fully online. If you qualify, the provider writes a treatment plan and prescription, and the medication ships from one of Tuyo's partner pharmacies. Tuyo doesn't name them.

After you start, the membership includes on-demand provider messaging and dose adjustments. Care comes from independent medical groups and providers working through Tuyo's platform, and Tuyo itself is the technology company in the middle. Its homepage names Dr. German Echeverry, MD, as founder and medical director.

Once a partner pharmacy has dispensed your prescription, it can't be returned or refunded. If you think you've received the wrong medication, contact support right away. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration unless you opt out in time, under Florida law.
