Ivim Health Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Ivím Health charges for two things. Every patient pays a membership of $74.99 a month, which covers unlimited visits with your provider, functional health coaches, a patient experience team and 20% off Ivím's supplements. The first month of membership is free. Medication is priced on top of that.

For compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, Ivím sells what it calls GLP-1 ID programs of one, two, four or six months, with most patients starting on a four-month "Jumpstart." The "starting at" prices it advertises are six-month rates. With the membership added, semaglutide on a six-month program comes to about $149 a month. Tirzepatide costs more. Ivím doesn't print the monthly cost of the shorter programs next to the six-month rate, and "starting at" also means the price for a higher dose isn't shown, so ask for the total for the plan length and dose you'd actually start on.

You complete a health questionnaire, then have a video or chat visit with an Ivím provider, who builds the plan. You pay the program fee, and the prescription goes to the pharmacy. Ivím doesn't name the pharmacy.

Medication isn't auto-shipped. It comes in batches of up to 56 days, and each refill requires a short check-in, by telehealth or online form, before your provider approves the next box. You check in weekly through the app, and your provider can adjust your dose. If you miss a check-in or a refill window, the program clock keeps running, and medication you didn't request before the program ends is forfeited, apart from a 14-day grace period at the end.

Ivím was founded in 2021 by Dr. Taylor Kantor with his brother Anthony and Anthony's wife Kelly, and it's based in Flint, Michigan. It doesn't publish a list of the states it serves.

Ivím's clinicians also prescribe brand-name GLP-1s through a separate program: Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Saxenda, and the Wegovy and Foundayo pills. The first consultation is free, and the team helps with insurance and prior authorizations. If coverage is denied, the membership fee isn't refunded.

Ivím's FAQ says that once a GLP-1 ID program starts, you can't cancel it. Its terms describe a narrower way out: unshipped medication is refunded, less a $100 fee for each unshipped three-month portion or $50 for each two-month portion on four- and six-month programs. The fee is waived if a provider finds you medically unable to continue. Ask which rule applies before you pay for a long program.

Prescribed medication is never refundable once dispensed. Report a shipping problem within 72 hours. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide aren't FDA-approved.
