Omnia TeleHealth Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Omnia TeleHealth is a small cash-pay telehealth practice based in Spanish Fort, Alabama, that treats more than 70 conditions, from colds and UTIs to birth control and weight loss. It doesn't take insurance. A weight-loss consultation is a flat $69, and so is each refill visit once you're an established GLP-1 patient. Most other visits are $39.

The visit fee doesn't include medication, and Omnia doesn't publish a price for compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. It says compounded versions cost a fraction of brand-name prices and asks you to contact the office for current pricing. Do that before you book, and ask whether the price changes as your dose goes up and how often you'll need a $69 refill visit.

You pick the weight-loss service, fill out a short visit form with your symptoms and medical history, and meet a licensed nurse practitioner by video or messaging. Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available Monday through Saturday. Omnia lists the usual qualifying criteria: a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

If a GLP-1 is right for you, there are two routes. The prescription can go to your own pharmacy, where you pay whatever that pharmacy and your insurance charge. Or Omnia can send it to the compounding pharmacy it works with for compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

The program also covers nutrition and meal-planning advice, exercise suggestions, behavioral coaching and regular progress check-ins where your provider adjusts the dose.

Omnia names its clinicians. Its founder and primary provider is Blair Carmichael-Lober, DNP, CRNP, a nurse practitioner with more than ten years of experience, and Stephanie DeAnda, CRNP, is the second nurse practitioner. Omnia doesn't name a supervising physician.

Its providers are licensed in 17 states, but Omnia doesn't list them. A provider can only treat you in a state where they're licensed and where you're physically located during the visit, so call the office or message through the patient portal to confirm your state before booking.

• Get the monthly medication price in writing. It's separate from the $69 visit.
• Ask how often refill visits are needed, since each one is billed.
• Omnia doesn't publish a refund or cancellation policy, so ask what happens if you're not prescribed after paying for a visit.
