ElixaMD Review: Price, Pros & Cons

Compounded semaglutide costs $199 a month, and the first month is $99. That price covers the physician review, your plan, 1:1 guidance and the medication itself, shipped free. There's no contract and no separate membership fee on this plan. ElixaMD doesn't print a tirzepatide price.

Brand-name Wegovy, as a weekly injection or a daily pill, and Zepbound work differently. Each carries a $99 membership plus the cost of the medication, and the medication price isn't listed. Ask for both figures before you enter a card.

The terms add one more thing to know. ElixaMD says the final charge can change depending on the medication prescribed and the pharmacy that fills it, and that support will contact you if it does. ElixaMD doesn't bill insurance, and its doctors are out of network with every plan, including Medicare and Medicaid.

ElixaMD is a platform, not a medical practice. The doctors come from OpenLoop Health and a group of practices called CareGLP Affiliated P.C.s. You pay first. An OpenLoop clinician then meets with you after checkout and decides whether you qualify. If you're turned down for a medical reason, you get a full refund.

ElixaMD names its pharmacies: Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy, and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding. It warns that your medication may look different from the photos on its site. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved.

ElixaMD serves only some states and doesn't list them. Email support with your state before you start the assessment.

You can cancel by emailing support or through the chat in your patient portal. The request has to arrive at least 72 hours before your next billing date. Miss that window and you're charged for one more cycle.

Refunds are narrow:

• Cancel within the first 72 hours, before you've received any services, and you get everything back.
• On a monthly plan, there's no refund for the month you cancel in or any month before it.
• If you prepaid two or more months, you're refunded for the months in which no medication shipped.

Shipped medication can't be returned. If a package arrives damaged or wrong, contact support right away and the pharmacy will replace it.

• Confirm the $199 refill price holds when your dose goes up.
• Confirm your state is served.
• If you want Wegovy or Zepbound, get the medication price and how often the $99 membership is billed.
• The terms send disputes to arbitration. You can opt out by email within 30 days of accepting them.
