RegenCen Review: Price, Pros & Cons

RegenCen doesn't publish prices for its weight-loss programs. The consultation is free, and that's where you'll get a quote for the program your provider recommends. RegenCen says its care is HSA and FSA eligible. Ask for the full cost of a program in writing, including medication, lab work and any injections bundled with it, and ask what you'd pay each month after it ends.

RegenCen sells four weight-loss programs, and two of them pair a GLP-1 with other shots:

• Total Weight & Wellness. Four months of semaglutide or tirzepatide with provider check-ins, full lab work including hormones, eight weeks of NAD+ injections and fifteen weeks of its B Fit+ vitamin shots.
• 8-Week Weight Reset. Eight weeks of semaglutide with weekly B Fit+ shots, for people with a small amount to lose.
• GLP-1 Maintenance. Ongoing semaglutide or tirzepatide with regular check-ins, for people who've already lost weight.
• The Metabolism Boost. Twelve weeks of NAD+ and B Fit+ shots with no GLP-1 at all.

The extras aren't GLP-1s, so ask whether you can buy the medication and check-ins without them.

RegenCen is an in-person clinic chain with 23 locations: 11 in Michigan, from Petoskey and Traverse City down to Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids, and 12 in Florida, including Naples, Sarasota, Palm Beach and Winter Park. It also runs telehealth visits, but only for patients in Michigan and Florida. Introductory consults and follow-up visits can be done online, and weight-loss treatment can generally be managed virtually in those two states.

If you book a virtual visit, you'll get an intake form by email to complete beforehand. RegenCen charges a no-show fee for missed appointments, so reschedule early if you can't make it.

RegenCen was founded by Dr. Gustav Lo, its chief medical officer, who spent 30 years in primary care in northern Michigan. Its providers are physician associates, nurse practitioners and MDs trained through RegenCen's own program, including Elizabeth Lozen, PA-C, Anna Donaghy, NP-C and Maurica Cox, NP-C. Weight loss sits alongside hormone therapy, which RegenCen often recommends checking as part of a weight-loss plan.

The program starts with a consult and lab work, then a plan, then injection training so you can dose at home. RegenCen's prescriptions go to Belmar Pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy in Golden, Colorado. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. RegenCen doesn't mention brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound, so ask if you'd prefer one.

• What does your recommended program cost in total, and how is it billed?
• How is the medication shipped from the pharmacy, and how long does it take?
• If you stop partway through a program, is any of it refunded?
• What does maintenance cost once the program ends?

RegenCen doesn't publish a refund or cancellation policy, so get the answers before you pay.
